WordPress.com 에 들어가면 위와 같은 화면이 뜬다.  

“Start your WordPress Blog>>” 를 클릭한다(빨간색 화살표 참조).

아래와 같은 화면이 나타난다.

User Name 과 Email address를 넣고 Leagal Flotsam을 check한 다음 Next >> 버튼을 클릭한다. 

(자신의 Email 주소로 Activation key와 같은 한줄의 링크가 오게된다. 자신의 Blog를 Activate시키는데 필요하다.)

다음과 같은 화면이 뜨게 된다.

Blog Domain에 자신이 원하는 이름을 넣는다(빨간색 화살표 참조). 예를 들면, 여기서는 wpblogging 입력한다. 그러면 자신의 blog주소는 wpblogging.wordpress.com이 된다. (수정은 되지 않으나, WordPress는 Blog를 여러개 개설할 수 있다.)

Blog Title: 에 입력한 내용은 자신의 블로그 상단 bar 부분에 나타난다. 추후 수정할 수 있다. 

Language를 선택할 수 있다.

Privacy 란에 체크하고 Signup >> 을 클릭한다.

다음과 같은 화면이 뜬다면 앞페이지에서 입력한 자신의 e-mail 계정으로 WordPress로 부터 메일이 도착했을 것이다. 자신의 e-mail을 확인해 보기 바란다.

Update Your Profile! 은 작성에도 되고 나중에 다시 log in해서 작성할 수 있다.

혹 WordPress로부터 email이 오지 않았다면 맨 아래쪽의 Update Email을 클릭하기 바란다.

다음과 같은 메일이 왔다면,

클릭하거나 주소를 복사해서 Explorer 주소창에 넣은 다음 enter한다.
아래와 같이 Your account is now active! 메세지가 담긴 페이지가 나타난다면 blog가 개설된 것이다.
